Renegades Production Update
over 2 years ago – Tue, Aug 03, 2021 at 04:12:10 PM

Hi, Renegades Fans,

Several of you had requested an update, but there isn't much to update you on at this time. We're just going through the normal production process that takes time. Of course, at this stage, there's nothing for us to show you, because everything is in its rough stages.

We have a rough cut of Renegades: Ominara and pushing to get the effects into motion. We are still pitching it as a television show and, as a second option, Frank Zanca is currently underway in writing the feature-length version.  We will definitely keep you informed regarding whick option we will be taking when the time arrives.

Nichelle is doing well, for those of you who might inquire.

Here's one of the original articles stating that both actresses are Young and the Restless Alum

Thank you all for your patience. I know this is a long process, so please bear with us.

Principal Photography Complete & Behind-the-Scenes Pics
about 3 years ago – Tue, Mar 23, 2021 at 02:19:11 AM

HI, Ominara fans,

We have a few pieces of news.

  • Principal photography has been completed - YAY. This is a huge undertaking and an enormous step towards completion. We still have editing, music, sound effects, and, of course, CGI to complete.  This will take several months, but we are well on our way and the performances have been dazzling.  We may have to raise a bit more for post-production. We will know more in the coming weeks.
  • Nichelle did a great job and she looked fantastic in her costume. She had lots of fun.  In fact, the Sun picked up the story the day after she did her scene. (There is a typo where they said Loren was playing a young Nyota, instead of a young Ominara.)

  • Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, Walter was unable to play the role of Steiner.  We apologize profusely for this, as you, the fans, were expecting to see Walter and Nichelle play their scene together, however, we were able to cast Robert Miano - Frankie Eyes himself. If that sounds familiar to you, then you'll remember his character from the holodeck fiasco on the Deep Space Nine episode - "Badda Bing Badda Bang" where he tried to take over Vic Fontaine's club.  Robert has also played roles in The Sopranos and Casino. He did an amazing job.

  • We shot a great many scenes at Northrop Grumman in Manhattan Beach, which is a block away from the Manhattan Beach Studios where The Mandalorian and Avatar are filmed. Northrop Grumman went out of their way to provide us with some great locations and honored Nichelle with a plaque. They even invited the cast and crew out to see the James Webb Telescope that is launching in October.
  • This update is not being released to the public, so please don't share these photos anywhere. Here are some behind-the-scenes pics you were promised as well as an interview with Loren Lott. There will be much more to come.

That's it for now. LOL Actually, that's a lot for a single update. We will keep you apprised as things develop. As always thank you all for the support and for making Renegades: Ominara a reality and if you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
